We came here maybe about half hour after they had started evening service. One of the service staff kept pacing about in really squeaky shoes which was a bit like water torture. Other staff were constantly coming in & out of the dining area too but not actually doing anything. I could see how later into the night with the right vibe and with the right friends this could be a nice place to have drinks and some Chinese food to pair, but this is not a place I would recommend if a nice romantic meal is your main event, particularly as the seats are not well suited for dining. Food-wise, good qualify, can't complain, though a bit on the pricey side with not the right ambience to match.
Immaculate. First class. Premium food delicious tasty set in an outstanding nostalgic building in bustling Wanchai tramline. Remarkably tranquil sipping not the missed signature tea cocktail. A stunning experience, unique in Hong Kong 🇭🇰
2/5
If just the char siu bbq pork and the white radish puff I would at least give it a 4.
But for this price I expect much more as well as the service.
First arrive was the soup dumplings, skin is kind of crisp for a should be soft chewy texture. Soup is tasteless.
Meaty yet not rough Char siu with the charcoaled sense was very nice, but seasoning was plain sweet and couldn’t taste pork aroma.
Best of the best ever radish puff, well seasoned white radish filling wrapped with extremely thin and not greasy at all puff.
Deep fried Taro roll prawn, oily, tasteless, bad quality prawn.
One of the biggest surprise is the soup, 3xx a dog licking flat bowl size of soup. And the taste or ingredients they serve are both not on standard if so.
Longjing tea prawn dumplings, skin was a little crisp as well, could slightly taste the bitter side of the tea. Also salty , bad prawn.
Fluffy good choice of rice noodles, but plain salt flavour, rice noodles was not stir fried dry enough. Crab meat I barely could find or taste, even when I could, they taste like 3 years ago canned crab meat. The servers highly recommended this, but again disappointed me.
Soft opening problems…maybe?
Service is great, staff members are very friendly with the picking of our dinner food choices...
Food is yum, like every single dish we enjoyed a lot .
Desserts are fancy looking and taste yummy!
Love the mussels in that creamy white sauce:)))
Great location and environment, will
definitely come back!
Fantastic Cantonese cuisine with a flair. Sweet & sour pork with popping candy! Now, who would’ve thought?! 😱 Thank you, David for your hospitality and great service.
It was a very memorable night with family and good food.
Ambience - very soothing and comforting. A family friendly venue so 👍.
Service - they were courteous and helpful. They tried their best to cater to our specific needs. Again, 👍 for attentiveness.
The meat is great and the location as well. As you can see the portion of the tartar is ridiculously small (never seen something like this..). If you book with eatigo discount, or any other discounts, it is OK, else it's a bit pricey.
Still, the bar on the first floor is a cool place for a date or to share with friends and has great music and ambiance.
Great dimsum dishes and excellent atmosphere, you may say it’s a bit pricy in somehow, but in overall it’s worth for its price.
